I am directed by His Grace the Duke of Newcastle to accept your tender dated the 24th Feby last for "Ironwork for roofs" &c for the Mint of Hong Kong amounting to £1576.6.9 to be completed & delivered by the 11th day of May next.

I am directed by His Grace the Duke of Newcastle to thank you for your letter of the 12th inst. & to accept your terms for the following machines, viz.
Four cutting out presses for blanks with 1 set of punches to each for cutting out Dollars of 35 millimetres diameter as per your letter of the 20th Feby last, at the price of 600 francs each.
Two drawbenches complete with 12 pairs of steel dies or filières (these filières to be similar to those in use at the Paris Mint, thus conical rather than cylindrical as shown in your drawing) at the price of 2000 francs each.
One machine "destinée à amorcer les lames" "pour le balancier à friction ou dragon" with steel cylinders at the price of 2400 francs.
Total Francs 7000.00
